I wanted to note an amazing usage for the maca that most might not think of.
I’ve been using maca as a stabilizer, Energizer & big nutrient boost to homemade batches of pemican. just used some of this black maca powder in a batch of bacon, cranberry, walnut & black pepper pemican. Coconut oil to harden in fridge.
Slow smoked 3 pounds bacon on the grill then dried in oven collect all drippings & rendered.
Stored in mini snack bag slabs
Not for vegans.
Delicious on the side in a hot, sweet morning porridge.
